If you’ll remember, I blogged about how there was a dog staring at me through some blinds in a “SOON”-like manner while I was walking home a couple days ago.
Today, I was in a friend’s car a couple blocks from my dorm when I saw the same dog in the middle of the street, awkwardly trying to cross the street but obviously afraid of the steady stream of cars. There wasn’t anyone with it, and it looked scared. I got my friend to pull over, and I approached the dog. It licked my face, and then followed me as I escorted it back to the house with the broken blinds.
When I got to the house, I knocked on the door for a good five minutes to no response. The door was cracked open (probably how the dog got out), so eventually I just opened it and let the dog in. Then, I noticed a really, really stoned man in his mid-thirties sitting on the couch.
“Hey, I found your dog playing in traffic a couple blocks away,” I said. “Oh, was she gone? I didn’t notice,” he said, embarrassed but too high to really process what the hell was happening. The dog ran to him and nuzzled against his leg.
Moral of the story, dogs love us more than we deserve. Also, if you’re going to get high, fucking make sure you close the door so your pet can get high with you. dont be a herb hog
